Em and Nick’s coffee is designed with an active lifestyle in mind. Ethically sourced, lovingly packaged and freshly roasted even the smell of this coffee is enough to get you hooked. What’s so special about Em and Nick’s coffee?
I love the story behind Em & Nick’s success. In ditching the 9-5 lifestyle, Bath-based, Em and Nick started up the Coffee Camper in a bid to thread their active lifestyle and love of the outdoors into their business. Perhaps one of life’s simplest luxuries is sipping on a cup of coffee; whether it’s when you’re about to head off to work on a dreary Monday morning or when you’re up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning ready to run up and down some hills as part of some organised fun. Em and Nick acknowledged one of their go-to treats was a coffee so by selling top quality coffee through their Coffee Camper, Em & Nick could travel to festivals and major events like the Bath Half Marathon selling coffee.
For once I feel I am paying the fair price for some high quality coffee which I can enjoy within the comfort of my own home.”
Once an avid tea drinker, coffee first found it’s place in my life when I started training for my first half marathon. I’d read about all the positive advantages of drinking coffee before a long run so I picked up a pack of instant coffee for my first few weeks of training.
Benefits of drinking coffee before morning workout
- Improved circulation after drinking coffee
- Reduced perceived pain threshold which means you can push your strength workouts further
- Increased metabolic efficiency so body uses fats before using carbohydrates, in other words, you can exercise for longer
- Increased physical performance
- Improved mental alertness
Now an endorser of quality over convenience, I set aside more time to brew my coffee so I ditched the instant coffee and invested in a cafetiere.
I’m now hooked on Em & Nick’s seasonal blend which comes from Tanzania (the address of where it’s sourced from is even printed on the back of the coffee pack!). The toffee, chocolate and red fruit notes come through pleasantly to make up a smooth and extremely aromatic coffee to kick start your day. The freshness of the coffee is enough to get you hooked. The smell is out of this world, it left my handbag smelling INCREDIBLE. At the weekend we decided to put it to the test, we conquered a 45 mile bike ride through South Gloucestershire at the weekend fuelled by Em & Nick’s coffee and a massive bowl of granola ofcourse 😉 It was a really amicable coffee to drink first thing in the morning, the 100% Arabica coffee beans were full of flavour.
I would recommend two-three heaped spoons of the Seasonal Blend in the cafetiere to ensure you get the most of the flavour, and for added health benefits, definitely replace normal milk for Almond milk. 250g will set you back by £8.95, for once I feel I am paying the fair price for some high quality coffee which I can enjoy within the comfort of my own home.
